Council has earmarked improvements to Morayfield’s commercial precinct and the proposed $54 million Caboolture Central Project, which will add an auditorium, expanded central library, art gallery and innovative learning centre to the heart of Caboolture’s CBD. The CBD’s administrative and government services precinct includes Caboolture Shire Council’s offices, as well as regional offices for the Queensland Government’s Department of State Development, Trade and Innovation, Department of Housing, Department of Disability and Family Services, Department of Child Safety, Department of Corrections and Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Water. The office and retail precinct, also in the CBD, offers a range of available tenancies following the KingsGate and Lakes Centre refurbishments, and Caboolture Shire Council’s four storey office building, Town Square and multi-level car park developments.

Major development makes for great employment opportunities in the Caboolture area

Entertainment precincts top and tail the centre with RSL Caboolture and the Club Tavern to the north and Caboolture Sports Club, an eight-cinema complex and In tencity amusement arcade to the south. Centenary Lakes provides a focus for sporting and community events, with master planning underway to upgrade it and the adjoining Arboretum into regional parklands. The centre includes rugby league, BMX, athletics, netball, tennis, basketball, lawn bowls and cycling sporting venues. The education and health precincts to the east have numerous medical centres, government health services and health support groups, as well as a Queensland University of Technology campus, Brisbane North Institute of TAFE, St Columban’s Secondary College, Caboolture State High School, community health centre and public and private hospitals.
