Eagleby is located on the eastern side of the M1 north-east of Beenleigh. The suburb lies on the southern bank of the Logan River and is home to wetland reserves. Eagleby Wetland Reserve is situated at the northern end of Eagleby between the Logan and Albert Rivers. The area provides a habitat to a number of bird species with 203 native birds being recorded in the reserve. Situated nearly half way between the Gold Coast and Brisbane, Eagleby was originally part of Beenleigh but has managed to step out of its neighbours shadow to establish itself as a suburb in its own right.
